Lamma
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These terms govern your dealings with Express YourShelf, whether you order a piece from the handmade collection or a design from the Lamma modular line. They are written in plain language because we want you to understand every sentence before you order. The Arabic text is the authoritative version; the English text is provided to help you read it.
Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under Egypt's Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its executive regulations.
Who we are
Express YourShelf is a trademark owned by [LEGAL NAME], commercial register no. 986-55-750, tax card no. 986-55-750, registered address Egypt. Our workshop is in Alexandria, Egypt.
Lamma is the modular furniture line of Express YourShelf. It is covered by the same terms, with the additional clauses set out below.
Every invoice we issue carries our legal name, our registration numbers, and the description and price of each item, as the law requires.
Ordering without online payment
There is no payment on the website. What you send through the site is a purchase request, not a completed contract.
How an order works:
- You choose a piece or a design, enter your contact and delivery details, and send the request.
- We review it and contact you on WhatsApp or by e-mail to confirm availability, the delivery cost, the final total and the expected delivery date.
- The order becomes confirmed when you agree to these details and we send you the confirmation.
Before confirmation, neither side is bound, and you can cancel or change the request at no cost.
Prices and payment
All prices are in Egyptian pounds and include applicable taxes. Delivery is not included in the price of a piece and is quoted to you before confirmation.
The total shown on the website before confirmation is an estimate. The binding total is the one we confirm with you in writing on WhatsApp or by e-mail.
We do not ask for a deposit at present. The method and timing of payment are agreed at confirmation; payment is usually made on delivery. If our payment policy changes in the future, we will say so before confirming your order, and no change will apply to an order already confirmed.
If we find an obvious error in a displayed price, we will tell you before confirmation, and you may accept the corrected price or cancel the request.
Delivery
We deliver within Alexandria and Cairo and to the other governorates. The delivery cost depends on the address, the size of the pieces and the delivery method, and we confirm it with you before the order is confirmed.
The delivery date we give at confirmation is our honest estimate, not an absolute promise. If a delay arises, we will tell you at once, with the reason and the new date. If a delay exceeds thirty days beyond the confirmed date and is not caused by you, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund of anything paid.
Delivery zones, delivery methods and inspection on receipt are explained on the Delivery and Care page.
Lamma orders
A Lamma design is made of solid-wood boards 5 cm thick, joined by hidden M6 bolt connectors. You design it in the 3D builder, and we review it before production to make sure it is stable and can be assembled.
The price shown in the builder is a catalogue estimate. Drawers, rails and special fittings need a quotation. The binding total is the one we confirm with you.
When you order, you choose how it is delivered: assembled, boxed for self-assembly, or boxed with an assembly visit at an estimated fee we confirm with you. Each method is explained on the Delivery and Care page.
Production of your design starts after your confirmation. Cancellation is free before production starts. After production starts, the rules in the Cancellation clause and on the Returns and Warranty page apply.
Your owned pieces and redesign
When a Lamma purchase is confirmed and delivered, we record the pieces you own in your account under "My pieces". This record is there to help you redesign later. It is a convenience, not a title document; your invoice is your proof of ownership.
Redesign means choosing a new composition that uses your existing pieces. The builder shows you what will be reused, what you need to buy and what will be left over. We do not promise that every design can become every other design.
Pieces you reuse yourself remain your responsibility as to their condition. If you ask us to assemble a redesign at our workshop, we need to collect your reused pieces, and collection is quoted separately.
We may offer to take back Lamma pieces you no longer need in exchange for a discount on a new order. The discount is approved after we inspect the pieces and confirm receipt, on the terms we explain to you at the time of the offer.
The contents of a submitted order do not change after it is sent. A change creates a new request with a new reference.
Cancellation
- Before confirmation: cancellation is free at any time.
- In-stock piece: cancellation is free until the piece leaves for delivery. After delivery, you have the 14-day return right explained on the Returns and Warranty page.
- Made-to-order piece or Lamma design: cancellation is free until production starts. We tell you the production start date at confirmation. Once production has started, the piece is being made for you alone, so we are not obliged to accept a cancellation for a change of mind. We will treat each case fairly and may propose a solution, but we cannot promise one. Your rights in the case of a defect are never affected.
We may cancel a request if we cannot reach you to confirm it within 14 days, if the piece turns out to be unavailable, or if a design cannot be made safely. In these cases we refund anything you have paid in full.
Returns and warranty
You have a 14-day right to return or exchange in-stock pieces, a 30-day right to return a defective item, and a warranty of at least two years on furniture, as set by the Consumer Protection Law. Made-to-order pieces and Lamma designs configured for you have a special position, which we explain honestly.
The full details are on the Returns and Warranty page, which forms part of these terms.
Accounts
You can order as a guest or through an account. An account is created with an e-mail address or a WhatsApp number and a password. E-mail is verified by a confirmation link; a WhatsApp number is linked after we confirm it is yours.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done from your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
Phone numbers and the room photos you upload are stored encrypted, and reviews are published only with your consent. Details are in the Privacy Notice.
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We keep records of confirmed orders and invoices for as long as the law requires, as explained in the Privacy Notice.
Content and reviews
When you share a review or a photo of your piece at home, it remains yours, and you give us permission to show it on our website and social accounts after your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we will remove the content within a reasonable period.
We may decline to publish content that is abusive or unrelated to the piece.
Lamma designs you save in your account are private and are not shown to anyone else unless you choose to share them.
Limits of liability
We undertake to deliver pieces that match what we confirmed with you, free of defects and fit for the use they were made for. We are responsible for defects in workmanship and materials under the legal warranty.
We are not responsible for damage caused by unusual use, exposure to water, heat or severe humidity, alterations to the piece, self-assembly that departs from the assembly guide, or failure to re-tighten connectors periodically as we advise.
Photographs and digital previews are approximate. Natural variation in grain, knots and tone is not a defect.
Nothing above limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, or limits your rights as a consumer.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Egyptian law. If a dispute arises, we prefer to resolve it with you directly first. If we cannot agree, the courts of Alexandria have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your right to approach the Consumer Protection Agency.
You may file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. Each order is governed by the terms in force when it was confirmed.
